Phase 1 — Awareness
Looking without flinching
You can’t change what you won’t look at — and looking is not the same as being judged. We’re just gathering facts, the way you’d check the weather before a trip.
Meet Tess
“I’m Tess — your credit confidence coach. I help you build habits, momentum, and a relationship with money that feels steady and doable.”
I’m Tess. And before I ever coached anyone, I had to coach myself.
I became a single mom with a 560 credit score after my divorce. I remember staring at bills, feeling embarrassed, overwhelmed, and honestly… scared. I didn’t know where to start. I just knew I had to pick myself up for my kid and for my future.
So I started small — tiny habits, little bits of money hygiene, one steady choice at a time. No magic tricks. No overnight miracles. Just consistency.
And slowly, things changed.
That journey changed my life. And it changed how I see money, habits, and confidence.
I became a certified Ramsey Personal Finance Coach because I wanted to help people the way I wished someone had helped me — with honesty, compassion, and practical steps that fit real life.
I’m not here to judge you.
I’m not here to pressure you.
I’m here because I’ve lived this.
And I know how powerful small, steady habits can be.
Let’s take this one step at a time — together.
“I coach because I know how hard it is to rebuild your financial life while everything else is happening. You deserve guidance that feels human, not judgmental — and habits that fit your real life.”
I’m your credit confidence coach — not a financial advisor, lender, or credit-repair service. I help you build habits, understanding, and confidence so you can make steady progress toward your goals.
“I believe in small steps, gentle accountability, and plans that fit your real life — not a perfect version of it.”
These five phases are how Tess helps you move from overwhelmed to confident — one steady step at a time.
Looking without flinching
You can’t change what you won’t look at — and looking is not the same as being judged. We’re just gathering facts, the way you’d check the weather before a trip.
Responsibility without blame
Ownership isn’t guilt. It’s standing in the driver’s seat and saying, “Some of this happened to me, and I still get to decide what happens next.”
Proof, not pep talks
Confidence isn’t a feeling you wait for — it’s the residue of kept promises. Keep small ones and it builds whether you feel it or not.
Consistency beats intensity
Momentum is boring on purpose. You’re not sprinting; you’re making the same quiet choice often enough that it stops needing willpower.
Becoming the person who handles this
At some point this stops being a project and starts being who you are. You’re not someone trying to fix their credit — you’re someone who takes care of their money.
“You’re not doing this alone. I’m here to help you build confidence, one steady step at a time.”
No pressure. No judgment. Just your next step with Tess.
